Grasshopper Philms participated in the 6th Annual Creative Alliance of Movie Makers 48hour CAMM SLAMM Film Competition on October 10th-12th 2008 at the historic Senator Theater of Maryland. 'GP' broke records by completing not one but two short films within two days. The two films were titled 'Broke'" and "The Lost Tapes". With a hand full of actors (John Bennett, Samantha Godfrey, Steven Foster, Jonah Smith and Mr. Hopper himself) and a grueling race against the clock, this team of thesbians pulled it off! At the end of the night Grasshopper Philms won big by taking home 3 awards. This was director Bryan "Grasshopper" Robinson's 1st award in the six years he has participated in this event. He is now the 1st filmmaker to win all three awards and the 1st african american filmmaker to have accomplished such a feet in the six years of the competition.
